AYAT Real Estate was established in 1996 with the aim of alleviating the chronic housing shortage in Addis Ababa and also to provide employment in the fight against poverty.

The vision of the founder of the Company is to build 25,000 homes in four phases.  So far, in PHASE I AYAT has built over 4,000 affordable homes.

Currently, AYAT has launched its PHASE II construction comprised of both villas and apartments.

AYAT will utilize its professional and skilled workforce, its variety of equipment and machines and financial strength to complete PHASE II construction.

AYAT differs from most of its competitors, not only as the leading real estate developer in Ethiopia, but also as a multi-faceted corporation. AYAT Share Company runs its own factories which support the consturction activities by supplying terrazo tiles, fresh concrete and other building materials. This arrangement has enabled the Company to the timely accomplishment of all developments during PHASE I, and will continue serving the same purpose in PHASE II.
